Happy Monday! We are back with our BN Spectacular Weddings series. Today we have a truly stunning wedding for you from the North of Nigeria from Kaduna to Abuja. We realized it’s been a while – we promise, it was worth the wait! What’s there not to love about today’s wedding? The ceremonies, the stunning outfits, touching moments - Salmah Sandah & Abdulwahab Abubakar’s wedding was an absolutely beautiful start to their wedded bliss.
Salmah and Abdul started off as friends when they met in 2007 at the Federal University of Technology Minna, where they both went to school. Eventually their friendship grew into something solid. Abdul proposed many times – but in Salmah’s words, it was inevitable they would end up as one.
All of the bride’s attire was designed by the bride and Dabo Fashion. The fabrics – from crystal adorned gold aso-oke to angelic beaded white, was chosen by the bride. The couple had no wedding planner – bride Salmah and both families played a huge part in organizing all the events. Her advice for future brides -
“Don’t fret, take it easy and keep a smile on your face, you would realise the hitches were necessary and even made your day worthwhile … everything will turn out okay.”
We totally loved Salmah and Abdulwahab’s beautiful ceremonies as they celebrated their Nupe culture with an elegant modern twist.
