Omoyemi Akerele of StyleHouseFiles chosen for BoF 500 | Iman, Tom Ford & Other Fashion Power Players Also Make the List

Omoyemi Akerele BOF500
The Business of Fashion has unveiled a list of 500 outstanding people shaping the global fashion industry BoF500, and guess which? A Nigerian Lawyer turned Fashion Consultant made the cut – It’s none other than Founder and Artistic Director of Style House Files, Omoyemi Akerele.
The BoF500 list is a new multi-channel initiative curated by editors of the Business of Fashion outfit and powered by social media that examines the people shaping the global fashion industry.
The list consists of blue-chip titans who helm the industry’s mega-brands and daring young upstarts whose fashion stars are fast rising. They are disruptive entrepreneurs building the next wave of $1 billion start-ups and opinion-leaders whose points of view attract followers, online and off. They are power princesses, chic sheikhs and supermodels, as well as discreet, behind-the-scenes catalysts who spot and support the industry’s top talents.
Omoyemi, who is also the founder of Lagos Fashion & Design Week, was listed alongside Iman, designers Alexander Wang, Tom Ford, Alexander McQueen CEO Jonathan Akeroyd and others.
