Ogun Labour Party Goes Spiritual Over Anambra Gov’ship Election

The political turf in Ogun state is becoming more and more interesting as parties jostle for relevance in the build-up to the 2015 general elections; the situation is not different in the labour party as gladiators are perfecting ways and means to achieve popularity and recognition.
The Ogun state chapter of the Labour Party has denied rumours making the rounds that the party  has anointed  the candidature of a particular candidate  as the party’s flag bearer  for the 2015 governorship election ,describing the rumour as baseless and unfounded.
At the state executive council meeting of the party held at car wash, Adatan, Abeokuta, the state capital, the party leadership asked members to disregard the unfounded rumour.
While asking members to be more committed  to the course of the party towards emerging victorious in the next general elections, the party however prayed for the success of its governorship candidate in Anambra state Dr Ifeanyi Uba.
To achieve the desired victory for the party in the state and especially in the coming governorship election in Anambra, the Ogun state chapter of the party has asked its members to embark on prayer sessions.
Meanwhile the expression of interest for the number one seat in the state may have begun in earnest as the former governorship candidate under the defunct Peoples Party of Nigeria (PPN) Mr Gboyega Isiaka has approached the party to state his intention.
In all of this the party leadership has promised a level playing ground for all aspirants in the build-up to the general elections.
